macOS or the browser on a Kenyan schedule
The decision usually comes down to how the Mac is used. A machine that lives on one desk through the afternoon and evening, when European and American trading overlap in local time, benefits from the desktop terminal: the workspace persists and charts reopen where they were left.
A laptop that travels, or one that belongs to an employer, is a different case. The browser platform needs nothing installed, asks for no administrator password, leaves no software behind, and starts in Safari or Chrome on whatever macOS version the machine happens to run. Closing the tab ends the session on that computer.
Both routes reach the same account, so a trader can install the desktop terminal at home and still open the browser platform on a borrowed Mac during the day. Neither choice has to be permanent, and switching between them takes no more than signing in.
